LET'S START OVER!

I feel like it’s been a hot minute since we’ve connected! So….

Welcome to my new Website! And my new Blog Page!

For those of you who have been following my Blog over the last few years, first of all, THANK YOU! This will be a continuation of that but also a fresh start! A clean slate! Hence the new website and the new look.

For those of you who are brand new to this space or to me in general and what I do, welcome aboard! I’m so glad you’re here! You can go check out my Bio page to get the “Cole’s Notes” overview version of me but right here in my Blogs (alongside my music) you’ll get a more in depth version of me as we journey along together. But first let me give you a little refresher or a little history into why I do what I do.

I’ve always been a creative spirit. I’ve been dabbling in writing in some form or another for as long as I can remember. It’s always been a way to express myself. About five years ago I sat down with a friend and mentor of mine who started asking me some questions about my vision for my life. She asked what I loved to do? What would I enjoy doing even if I wasn’t getting paid for it? What am I passionate about? My answer was simple: writing!

At this point I was already writing songs. Music is my first love. Songwriting is a passion of mine. But I had also started to have ideas about writing and encouraging others with what I write. I just didn’t know how to go about it. Sometimes we need a little help bringing our dreams into reality, and that’s ok! That’s when my mentor/friend suggested that I start a website for the purpose of blogging. Both her and her hubby helped me to get my very own website up and running and I posted my first blog in August of 2017. I can’t believe it’s been that long already!

Little did I know, just a few months later, how much I would need to write and how therapeutic and healing it would turn out to be. Not to mention, that it would begin to encourage others as well. Blogging helped me to navigate my way through heartbreak, depression, anxiety and to eventually find my way back to myself and who God made me to be. (You can visit my old blog website at www.jenniferlynn.net to get caught up on my journey so far over the last few years!)

It’s been quite a journey, to say the least. It definitely wasn’t easy, but as Ms Dolly Parton once said, “If you want the rainbow, ya gotta put up with the rain.” I’ve had a bit of both and she’s right! Anything worth having in this life comes with a price to pay at some point. But, it’s the hard that makes it great. (That was A League Of Their Own reference…if you don’t know what that is, I guess I just aged myself! ha!)

It isn’t fun when you’re going through the storm but I can thank it all now for giving me something to write about up till now (both in my music and blog posts) and the ones that are yet to come in the future. I hope you’ll join me! Let’d do this together!
